After a seemingly short summer of not writing, and I am ready to come back and give this blog the attention it deserves. It was due for a more cheery make-over, and 6 days away from my Eurotrip, my cheeriness cannot be described with verbal justice. I've got my cell phone, Italian visa, plane ticket, and almost completely mint wardrobe on hand and boy am I ready for this. To be honest, I have been a little melancholy as of lately, summer ending always has this effect on me, leaving my family and my friends for a life that makes me feel like the oddball of the bunch. BUT I know that this is only temporary, and that the second I step my foot on European territory, my heart will melt with new-found love. I must say that during my trip, I am prepared to be the most relaxed, easy-going person that ever existed. Quite a mouthful to say, coming from the must impulsive, impatient individual, but REGARDLESS, a girl can dream right? Plus Europe is no place for American girl drama. Speaking of girls, I've got the most impressive posse joining me abroad. Fuck, I never thought I would be able to have a 'posse' but that is just what we are! Steph, K, Brit, Kirsa, Vanessa and I are due to re-live every cliche moment of every American tourist girl that is portrayed in movies (or in unsolved murder shows, ya know). Everything is so unmapped and I love that. I can't even imagine what we will do, what will happen, who we will meet, and that is fantastically exciting. 6 days left, but for now, it is time to narrow down my shoes from 13 pairs to 6, and to somehow make a semester's worth of clothing weigh 30 lbs or less.
